Village of Macon. 00.30PM, Mayor Pépin welcomes Sergeant Dickinson (A/60th IR) in front of the old XVth century tree. Sergeant Dickinson’s patrol left the Monceau-Imbrechies ridge to bypass the main road leading to Macon and spot the German SS observer who pinpointed the GIs down on the ridge. They got him and the artillery shutted up !
